Delightfully wacky supporting characters don’t always make the best protagonists, and there is something a little strained about placing those four goofy penguins from Madagascar at the center of an action plot, however tongue-in-cheek the action may be.  Still, this is a clever, sweet-natured movie with several good belly laughs, and it’s very hard to complain about that.
